I know it's probably been discussed but... Do you have to block the egr and fingerstick the lly when big exhaust is installed? I've read that alot of guys have and then I've also read that some people haven't and have had no problems.:help2:
Does it depend on emissions? If I don't fingerstick and block it what will happen just the SES light? Basically what I'm getting at is can I put exhaust on my truck and see what happens first and then determine if I need the block off and stick?

yes. blockikng the egr has nothing to do with the adding of the larger exhaust. You can add tghe exhaust and receive codes related to the egr. All you would need is the finger stick to mask the alarms. Blocking the egr is an added bonus as it would allow for lower egt's and cleaner oil. The truck may even run a little quieter. There are several threads on this and this is my take on the reading. I have both in my truck.

Thanks, I've read some of the discussions about it but I'd never picked up on the lower egt's and cleaner oil - that alone is enough to talk me into it. But first I need to get the exhaust done.
