How do you tell the California trucks from the non- california trucks?

The Latte stains on the seat. Actually this is a very good question since all trucks come with a catalytic convertor. I do know that for some weird reason you can't order the marker lights and California emissions from the factory.

Check the emissions label under the hood. It should say it is certified for California and EPA emissions. If it does not, then it is a Federal vehicle.

Check the following link for additional details:

Good luck.

You might check in the glove box with the owner's manual. Mine has a GM Consumer Information sticker stating it has Federal emissions.

During the summer, you have sand on the mats. During the winter, you have snow packed in the bed. During the Holidays (except Xmas and Turkey Day) you have wet seats and mats from the river!!!

Got to LOVE the SoCal. :ro)

My California truck has no sticker under the hood.

Mine didn't either until GM mailed me one, with directions on how to install it. Maybe look on the fan shroud (that is where I installed per GM directions - a spot for it was molded into the plastic fan shoud). The vehicle will have (or should have) one; somewhere.
