I have an 04 lb7 with hot+2 ,Afe stage 2 ,AAM worms ,and I am trying to decide which trans to buy,I am looking at either the SC stage V or the ATS extreme with the copilot , I can't make up my mind. If I go with SC then I was thinking of going with the 6 spd. conv. ,& I dont know if the ATS is overkill ,I
only want to buy this once. I talked to suncoast and they told me "If you build the tranny right , you dont need a copilot" I just want to make the right move. If SC then which converter , I want to race the truck & maybe occasionally sled pull but hard boost launches are what i am looking for & NO
LIMP MODE.I do have stock charger but will do a mild upgrade later.

You should be fine with a SC IV and the right converter for your application. A good builder is going to be the key. Anywhere on the west coast Mike L is your man. You might want to give Eric a call at Merchant auto. He's in MI not to far away. I've read alot of good things on this site about his work. Here's a link.

I was just in Wooster, OH.. Took about 4 hours to get there from the shop. PM me for pricing. Also, tuning is free with a trans purchase ;)

beach_ 33 never heard of a suncoast VI might wanna fix your sig unless I am way off balance. Suncoast IV will handle anything you can throw at it almost. Might also want to consider billet input and output shafts if you want 700 to the wheels but a very streetable tranny none the less.

If you are planning on doing quite a bit of racing, you may want to look into the co-pilot irregardless of which brand tranny you get.

Yes there is a nice discount on the turbo if you buy them at the same time. :D

Sorry for the delay ,my cable co. just got me up & running again,I am now thinking of the SC IV ,has any body done one themselves ,and is it hard,i am a tech but dont spend any time on tranny's?

It can be done but IMO it's nicer to drive in and drive out the same day with a built trans, which we can do for you.
