Need a little help here. I have found a new 2004 Silverado W/T with the D/A at a dealer near me. The truck lists for $38,336. Any ideas on what I can realisticly expect to get this truck for. I have never purchased a new vehicle this far into another model year, and just don't have a clue what I should expect.

The "final pay" from GM is only $1500 on an LLY. To buy this truck you would have to get the dealer to sell it for less than his cost for it to make any sense for you. You have to remember that buying a year old truck is going to cost you roughly $2000 at trade in time. I would find out what he will sell you this vehicle for, and compare it to a quote from another dealer on a new '05. There are a lot GM employees offering their supplier discounts to members on the board. That is a good deal for everyone. If you are close to me I can sell you one for $200 under invoice. Let me know if I can be of any more help.
Thanks,

Thanks for the help. That sort of tells me why the dealer still has them. Looks to me like they will be hard to move, as they are basic models with no option addons. I had looked at your web site, but I'm in East Texas, and MI is a long ways from here. If closer, I would come take a look; but, maybe later in the spring.
Maybe watch your rebates in that area if you're interested in the truck. My '04 was an ad special (which I purchased new in Dec '04) and had all the rebates taken off dealer "invoice". So I got a $35k MSRP for $24k + T&L. 'Course, mine's a gasser so demand is considerably lower, but you never know how desperate they'll get.
