I noticed this the other day but it happened just as I was letting off the gas.
scenerio; I pulled out to pass a car that was going about 25 mph in a 55 zone. The truck shifts down to 1st and off I go. The problem is when it got to 5500 rpms it felt like the tranny went into neutral and quit pulling. So I tried it again same thing. It appears to be at 5500 in 1st gear.
Does this have anything to do with the hypertech? the engine light never came on? what's the deal?:mad:

I was thinking that maybe it was actually trying to shift into 2nd and missing the gear??????

Because this is pretty damn funny. I got the bright idea to check the Hypertech program that was loaded in the truck and sure enough it had the rev limiter on 5300 rpm's. I'm not sure exactly how that happened but it did.
