I'm looking at a 18' flatbed gooseneck trailer for sale here locally. Its either a 03 or 04 model with no dovetail. The trailer is in good shape and does not appear to have been used much. They are asking $2000 and he said he would take $1500 cash. I have no idea what its worth. This is the first one I looked at. Is this a good price or should I keep looking?
Thanks

What brand, what size axles? 1500 sounds cheap enough if it is a quality trailer.

Not sure about the brand. It was used as a carhauler so I'm guessing 3500# axles. I'll find out for sure. I know it has Electric brakes and manual landing gear, no winch and fold down ramps.

I called and talked to him and its an 04 model with tandem 7000# axles. He thinks its made by International but he's not sure about that.

If it's in good shape, it's definitely worth that.

Like they said above, that's a good price if it's in any decent kind of shape. I've been looking at 20 + 5 dovetail 14K flatbeds and you're hard pressed to find one in any kind of shape under $3000 around here.

I looked at it again today and everything is in really good shape. The deck shows a little bit of wear but it's not too bad. The frame, axles, ramps, and tires are all good. The deck will last several more years with no problems. I had my car today but I'm pretty sure I'll buy it tomorrow. Thanks for the input.

I think that is a horrible deal.
I think you should PM me the seller's phone number so I can make him an off...I mean give him a piece of my mind....;)
Thats a pretty bang for the buck trailer. Im also in the market for a 30' low profile flatbed to replace my 27' ABU flatbed. Haven't found any bargainable buys so far.

if the ramps have the drop stands welded to them, I had to cut mine off and move them to the front end of the ramp. they were welded in the middle and heavy stuff won't load that way, unless you block the rear of the trailer.
