This tuner is for mileage and towing applications. I can set it up at either a 75hp max (stinger level) calibration or a 100hp max (Power Pack) calibration. They will work with both the standard gauges or with the PDA display, or will function with the knob control only. The mileage setting (level 2) is good for a 10-15% increase in gas mileage or more depending on your driving habits:D.
bikerdan 05-05-2008, 08:25 PM Does it havew DPF delete?

I have an LBZ, but I got 19 1/2 my last trip this weekend & I used level 2 half way & the other half 4 & 6. I had some people to race to the last half of the trip blew that mileage test for me. I bet if a guy could keep his foot of off the gas you could get 21 on the hwy.
JBarker-BanksPower 05-06-2008, 10:12 AM Does it havew DPF delete?
It does not. The tuning we use will work with the DPF in place. Besides the EPA is going to start cracking down on manufactures who produce those parts and we don't want to pay a fine:D

And this is why EFI live will keep selling.
What is the major differences between the ottomind and the six gun? Does it have the same EGT safteys?

The ottomind is calibrated more for towing & for unloaded mileage. The ottomind does show lower temps also. The sixgun also gives you better mileage, but it calibrated more for racing, whether it is stop light to stop light or at the track. They both have the built in EGT safteys built in.

Banks is just taking it right up the tailpipe from the epa. I smell a class action lawsuit against the epa if they go after companies or consumers for selling/using aftermarket "Racing or Off-Road Only" products. Especially if being used for the designed purposes.

The EPA already HAS gone after companys for offering emmission defeating devices and won. Yes, the products that say "not for sale or use on a pollution controled motor vehicle". They have, so far, focused on gasoline applicatons but the courts won't care what kind of fuel your burning. When they win court cases like this:http://www.epa.gov/compliance/resour...aa/casper.html (http://www.epa.gov/compliance/resources/cases/civil/caa/casper.html)
it sets a precident that they can fall back on later.

Does the rotary dial kit include a EGT sensor for "saftey" defueling or other temp related safteys?

Swandive4 05-21-2008, 10:00 PM Is anyone using this on the LMM yet? I would like some feedback on the fuel increase and power. It sounds to me that this is exactly what I am looking for but I am none bit impressed with Banks customer service at this point.
I have been waiting 2 weeks for an update on where my exhaust is...... Don't worry barker I found it is at my house 3 weeks late! But Thanks for the update or lack there of!

I really do apologize for the delay in getting your exhaust to you. As it's a new system, and extremly popular, we sell out quickly every time we do a production run. I see you sent me a PM on the 15th but, unfortunatly, that was the day I left town for an event in Idaho and by the time I returned your exhaust had already been delivered (on the 20th). Did you call as well? I didn't have any messages from you when I returned otherwise I would have called right away. If you (or anybody else) ever need to track your order that you have placed with Banks directly call me here direct (my number is below) and if I'm not available ask for Inez at extension 4303. She will be more then happy to help you as well:D
Swandive4 05-28-2008, 10:47 AM I recieved the exhaust and installed it. I will say I am very happy with the quality and the looks. Goodbye ugly stock tailpipe.
"I see you sent me a PM on the 15th but, unfortunatly, that was the day I left town" You responded on the 9th "I'll check for you. It could also just be arriving in a different box so they printed 2 invoices"........ That's all I am going to say!
All and all I am happy but a little follow through would have been nice though. I am very happy with Banks products as I am not one that like to alter stock emmission equipment or go with radical tunes. I will do buisness again but I have learned that I can expect delivery when I am told it will be there. I do believe I will be ordering a Ottomind as soon as GM fixs all the leak this truck has for good!

Why wait... Just unplug the turner when you bring it in. That is the great thing about a harness style box. It does not rewrite the computer on the truck.
wpifer 05-28-2008, 02:52 PM How much is this going for?

Good God I bought one of those things. Luckily it honestly was for a track-only race car.

I have never dealt with the harness boxes before. How long does it take to remove them? What about the EGT sensor does that stay on the truck when it is removed for service work? Also I already have a EGT Gauge. Are both sensors going to fit on the same manifold or should I drill and tap the other side?

It does not take long at all to remove. Maybe 10 - 15 min. I just leave the probe in, when I take mine to the dealer. It is not illegal to have towing gauge. Just stick to that story...
