IMO I would not consider it. You will never know for sure what problems it has until you really dig into it. Flood damaged vehicles could be "real" trouble. On the other hand if you were able it to get it dirt cheap and have a lot of electrical knowledge and a whole lot of time on your hands, it might be an ok project.

you have the same truck I want to bid on. What would you consider dirt cheap for an 04 w/ 12K?

That's a hard one to make...maybe $10K. I'd have to look at it myself and "really" want the project before I could really say how much. It's a decision only you'll be able to make for yourself.

Depending on how deep the water was, generally any module/computer that got wet, will need to be replaced. Later you can end up with a lot of corrosion in connectors, causing more problems down the road. Was it running when it went into the "flood" and suck any water into the engine? Could end up problems that plague the vehicle forever and cost thousands of dollars and time.
