Anybody out there using a Banks Techni-cooler? Does it really add any power with out a tuner?

unless you tow a bunch, i would say no. all an intercooler does is let you make sustainable power.

Several 650+ Duramaxes don't even run an Intercooler. Some Duramaxes even Pat's truck Casper is a 10 second truck that runs a stock intercooler.

I'm running a Banks intercooler on my truck. I installed that and a super scoop and picked up 1 mph and 150 degree reduction on EGT's in the 1/8 mile.

I was a sceptic for sure, but it works for me.

i have been contiplating buying an intercooler also, dont care about performance just egt reduction, has anybody had any idisputible results , if i got the 150 deg. that idaho rob got while i was pulling a big canyon with my 5ther i would say sold but 1300 bucks is alot of coin if it didnt ?

I'm not hot roddin" and I've had no overheating issues (knock on wood) so far. 1300.00 is a lot of bucks if the only place you ever realize an advantage is on the very top end of the performance spectrum. Thanks guys, now I can afford that new rifle!!
