The truck goes to the dealer on Monday to have an update done to the radio (will not eject cd).
Since I am so close to the bumper to bumper expiring I requested they do an inspection and make sure all is ok.
Anything I should have them look at specifically?
I have recently replaced the steering shaft and tranny lines.
Thanks in advance!

They will not fix whats not broken. They might give you the courtesy of having the blind guy walk around the truck. I would check it over for leaks and odd rattles. Make sure all your dash lights work and see if the fan has all its speeds.

I wish my 36,000 was even close to intact. that was gone in less than 4 month after I got her.
Only problem I have had is the rear axle seal at 14,533. I currently have the steering rattle but haven't got around to fixin it yet. I am just shy of 200,000 on her right now.

First thing i would do would be to use efi live and change my tire size so those 200 miles last more like 2000 miles :D Just in case! Then make sure everything on the list is double and triple checked.

I had one of the tranny cooler lines start leaking 200 miles AFTER 36000 on my '06. Luckily the customer care group was able to take care of it for me... Check for leaks/sepage..

I have had the same problem with one of my trucks. I had the whole thing disassembled before I was told all you have to do is disconnect power (pull fuse) and the radio resets. It should eject your CD once power is restored.

There's a customer care group?? :wtf: I feel like I'm in a different GM universe....
And honestly, Forget a dealership inspection. I would crawl under yourself and look for any leaks etc as advised - just do your own inspection and really get to know your truck. There is no way they're going to do you any favors unless its glaringly easy like a common tsb on the crappy cd player.(mine was replaced too - didn't like ejecting, battery reset wasn't helping)... I had mine in for 10 days for a driveline vibration under warranty; I crawled under when I got it back and had a leaking transfer case yoke and a leaking power steering hose. I'm hoping I'm a fluke but wouldn't bet on it.

Actually every warranty is up to the service manager's descretion. If he thinks your a customer worth keeping happy he could change your radio 40k miles after your bumper to bumper. GM just gave them that control about 2 years ago. So the only person giving anyone a hard time would be him.
