The tanks at supertanks.com say they are exclusively for diesel trucks. I have an ext. cab short bed gasser. Anyone know of any larger tanks for the 6.0 gasser?

For a 6.0 gasser? When I still had mine, I was considering just pulling a tanker behind me!

60 gallons for a short and 75 for a long bed?!?!

I had my supertank installed this fall and love it. I cant' wait to tow the trailer with it. I was so tired of looking for easily accessible gas stations with the trailer on. Now I should be able to make the majority of our camping trips without having to stop for gas. Just fill up before I leave and fill up when I get home.

:D

is the supertank visible from the side, does it hang down at all? How does your gauge react with the new tank

It does hang down about 2" below the frame. With my nerf bars it is not visible from the side. I don't do any serious off-roading. Mostly dirt/gravel roads to get to camp spots so I wasn't too worried about it hanging down.

The gauge works fine with the new tank.

i was looking at the supertank. it is nice that it adds more then the transferflow tank but it is expensive. that is the only thing that i didn't like about it.

Can you get the DIC reprogrammed to read the correct fuel range remaining?

Would/ does the super tank conflict with a 4 or 5 inch exhaust?

Mole177,

No it does not conflict with the tank, However if you have duals then it might create a problem. WORTH EVERY PENNY, LET ME TELL YOU!!!!

05DMAX,

Reprogram the DIC? might want to talk to fingers about that one or damaxallitech, maxpaine, those guys would know for sure. I asked my stealership and they said, " Oh, you have an aftermarket tank HUH, well I'm not sure but I think that voids your warrentee on your fuel tank.:blahblah: " I said, "who cares" and left it at that. Basically said that they couldn't re-cal it. What got me thinking is the long bed has a bigger tank than the short bed so why can't we recaliberate them. does that make sence? I'll stay posted to see what you come up with.
