Hello,
I have the Rear View Mirrors with the Temperature gauge and the Compass. Also with the Onstar controls.
My issue is that the Temperature gauge and Compass always goes out.
sometimes they flicker on for a little bit but most of the time it is turned off. Even if I manually turn them on they remain off.
is this some kind of battery or fuse problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Probably a power problem. Check wires at back of mirror and track all the way to the fuse box. This should really be in interior or electrical though.

Check the ground, too.

If it were me, I'd do that first.

This might sound kind of strange, but maybe it is your Edge...my temp/compass was doing some weird stuff...like going on and off or the display would show garbage..and it went away as soon as I removed the Edge unit. Or just a thought, you might want to just try disconnecting the batteries to reset the ECM.
