I have a transfer tank about 28 gal, and I plumbed into the filler neck. I want to from time to time use this tank for the tractor, and need a way to pump from it to the tractor. The tractor fill point will be well above the top rail of the truck.

I could use the same type pump etc I do the transfer with, but it isn't really what I'd like to use for this 'free hand' type transfer. I recall seeing years back a rotary pump driven by a drill. A little googling makes me think...it available...outside the US. EPA laws outlaw it?

What's the best way to do this without getting into a lot of money, and a clumpsy type setup.

Northern tool has this one:
http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?xsell=true&storeId=6970&catalogId=4006970&langId=-1&productId=11948&R=11948&cm_sp=Testing-_-CrossSells-_-Default-_-10901

Says it is ok to use for oil..... so I assume diesel would be fine.

I use a Holley pump to transfer to my OEM tank. It is on a timer.

The "out" fitting on the pump is a garden hose fitting. That way I can simply unscrew it and screw on a short length of garden hose.

This allows me to fill most anything from my aux. tank. I have pics posted here somewhere. Hope this helps!
