Just wanted to let everyone know that I am a newbie to this forum. I am not sure if I will post that much, but will be gathering all the information everyone posts. I really do not know that much about diesels except that they are awesome pullers.
My wife is really the one that is getting a new Duramax. She ordered it last week and should be here between 3-5 weeks. It is a crew cab, short bed, dark blue and fully loaded. I joined this forum to learn more about this truck, since she would like to get aftermarket items for it. I read alot about tire sizes and I have to say our dealer has new Duramax's with 265's on. They said she can pick any wheel with 265's on she wants, so I am really looking for suggestions. It also will be getting a new grill and bed cover and has chrome side steps. I think she is real excited about it!
I have a 2002 2500 HD with the 8.1. I must say I totally love the truck. I do have the Hypertech programmer, KN FIPK and a custom made dual muffler and exhaust.
We live in York, Pennsylvania.
Thanks and I look forward to learning more on this forum.
Doug

Welcome to the forum. I think the diesel pushers thread (http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23063) should be required reading for all newcomers. Be warned this place is addicting!!

Thanks for the welcome! I know my wife has many questions about some performance items. We have read so much information on here, it is unbelievable. I think she might use my user name and ask a few questions. I hope that is okay with you guys?
Thanks again,
Doug

Welcome to this place. So, your wife is the one getting the new D/A. If you are really really nice to her, she may let you drive it around the block if your lucky. You're probably going to end up getting one to.
