Do I need an EGR blocking plate? If I don't install one will my intake soot up? I have 43K miles on the clock right now.

Will the plate throw any codes? Does it harm anything by having it on?

Not trying to be rude. But if you search on this it has been covered and covered and covered.

Yes it will soot up. Wont hurt anything. If you have an FE9 truck you shouldnt throw any codes, if you have any other truck you will need a finger stick.

I just installed my plate and what a differance!!! Truck has 82,000 on it and I have been noticing for 8 months now a decrease in performance so I put a plate in and no codes and had to take a 700 mile trip to Ohio got 18.5 at 70 threw the mountains instead of 16 if I was lucky

i would think you would need to reroute the pcv system if you want all the oil to stay out of the intake.yea i know i still have not done it.

Do both - it's the smartest, simplest $25-$50 (depending on where/how you get your parts) you could spend on your truck. :ro)

Without a doubt. The simplest part is questionable on an LMM though.
