with fuel prices as high as they are i've come to consider the use of biodiesel. i know almost nothing about this but i've seen many products in DIESEL POWER Mag etc that allow diesel owners to make their own fuel for cheap....i would just like to start a conversation about this because it may be crucial for some of us that wont be able to afford fuel for too long.

any conversation on:

legality issues
fuel system conversion
homemade fuel
emissions
pros
cons
whos running this fuel
performance issues while running this fuel
mileage
and anything else you can think of...

many of us are not very knowledgable on this topic and we need the brains of those who are.

thanks alot guys

administrators, sorry if this is placed in the wrong area, feel free to move if needed. also im not sure how to make this thread sticky..but i feel it should be because this could be the fuel of our future

Theres all the info you need here, for starters.
You'll find most of your answers there, You have Lots of reading to do.

On your 06 LBZ you should be able to run any mix ratio all the way up to full B100. Performnce and fuel Economy are about 5% less. First before you get to excited,, check around for a local supply of used oil. All the info in the world won't help you if you can't find any used oil.
