Cummins 444 ran without coolant. the left is a good sleave the right is all the pieces of the sleave that locked to the piston on the down stroke.

I can't imagine getting THAT stuck!

Although I wish I had pics of my new years night a few years ago! My brother-in-law and I decided that it was a good idea to take our trucks out 4 wheelin in the middle of the night. I watched him get stuck in the ditch so I went ahead to find an approach to get into the field to go get him. Well, I missed the approach and ended up nose first into the ditch. I shoved the front of my 83 Scottsdale into a snowy ditch that was deeper then the hood! I had sow that came over the hood. Our evening ended. :)

I got lots of these, broken and got stuck lots. Few digital many 35 mm and even some poloroids. This is what fell out of my F%*D yard trucks rear end when I pulled the carrier to weld the side gears. The piece in my hand is suppose to hold the rear pinion bearing. Good thing I had only been playing in the snow 3 gear low range to the pin for about an hr earlier that day.

Heres a oops from the other day when I pulled the 484 out of the building. The rain cap would clear the top of the door by about 1/2 inch until I aired up the rear tires. The engine isnt running in the pic :(. I bent it pretty good.

At a friends house I was digging around looking for some something and came across a rain cap that had the part that covers the pipe ripped off. I laughed and almsot did it myself about 3 weeks later.

Looks like a typical 9" Ford rear. I have broken alot of those pinion supports. Wait until you start blowing the pinions out the front of the 3rd member, twisting axles and or shearing teeth off the ring gear. The last 3rd member i blew out i sheared the teeth off the ring gear, blew the pinion out the front, twisted the splines on both axles and the diff carrier bolts/bearing cradles broke off letting the carrier flop around inside.

I had nodular housings and never had any trouble. that was w/ 600 hp and 6000rpm launches w/ a tranny brake. I was using strange axles and spool.

Rockwell's are in the future, I think, if it lasts the mud racing season. They're hard to find and expensive up hear though. Looking for dana 60's first. I'm fishing around for my photo's of my 3rd stock car motor. A rod let go second heat and sat at the bottom of the pan. Couldn't waste the day and the block was done anyway so kept on going. 2 more heat races and 10 laps into the feature the crank picked up the rod and piston! Ka Bang, 7000 to 0 right now. The rod was wedged above the crank perpendicularly. Tore out 3 main bearing caps with the blocks webbing right up to the cam still bolted on. ARP studs 1 block 0

One of our guys reached down into his bag on the floorboard to get a cigarette out, looked up and held on because he was headed down the ditch. I dont know how the tractor didnt flip over because the bank was pretty steep. It is running fine with only fluid changes, even the alternators on the tractor and sprayer are still charging over 13 volts! We drained 10 gallons of oily water out of the tractor engine, and 25 out of the transmission. The detroit diesel in the sprayer was completely under water, but the low oil pressure shut off caught it before it got a gulp of water so it is fine too. Ill have to dig around im sure i have some other prety good pictures of other things that have happened over the years.

Bone, What kind of engine does that sprayer have? I think I seen one like that with a 2 or 3cyl 2 stroke engine. How many HP is it? is it turbo charged?

Oh, now you guys got me going. Here are some pics I have from when I worked for MacDon. I have a whole bunch of stuff that would go well on here, but here is a little bit. A guy hit a tree in a 9760 STS with a 36' 963 header. Needless to say the tree won, and the guy got left at the next truck stop. The combine was already pulled out, but it rippled the header off and drove over it. Imagine having to go out and look at this warranty claim...

Did he drive into the pond after he hit the tree?

michael, the sprayer has a 4-53 detroit diesel. it is a 2 stroke 4 cylinder with a blower

The guy I know has a turbo on his, Im not sure if it was a 2 or 3cyl.

he hit the tree with one end of the header, it spun the combine around and it went straight into the ditch and into the swamp beside the road, where the combine ended up driving over the header and feederhouse. Apparently the combine got an all new feederhouse, final drives and was completely redone underneath.
