: LLY or not??

Hello to all. I'm considering a new '05 but I'm reading a lot about a drone that the new Dmax has. Do they all have this and I have'nt seen where the problem has beed resolved. This is making me think twice now. Is it an exhaust drone or an engine/drivetrain drone? Also it doesn't appear the fuel mileage is as good as the LB7...just an observation from both sides of the camp. Not trying to start an argument mind you. I have an LB7, just made a quick trip to Kansas City and back and got 19.5 mpg (hand cal'd) on #1 diesel at 73-74 mph, that really surprised me (all interstate). I have had zero problems with this LB7. :) :) :) Thanks to those that took the time to reply.

I personally would run the LB7 till it drops. In my opinion they run better and get better fuel mileage. Check my signature for my credentials.

if i was looking to run it stock, then the lly should be fine, with a little worse milleage, but if your looking to find some higher hp out of it than stock, you might want to keep the lb7 a little longer, a few bugs still need to be worked out with them, more time for aftermarket to get on top of it as well, personally i would not go their, my two cents

I beginning to agree with you. My problem is, I'd keep the 2003 but it's an extended cab...I want/need the crew cab.

Hey man, looks like I go right by your house on the way to the lake.:cool2:

My mom lives down at Gravois Mills. I usually go down into Arkansas with our boat. Cleaner water and we dive also.

I live at "The" Lake. Having grown up in AR around Beaver and Norfork--night and day difference!!!;) The Lake is more crowded, a 28' boat is small, and there's a ton of places to go eat and drink. I like to visit AR's COE lakes, but I prefer living here.:offtopic: I know.
