The only reason I say that is if not it will not stay polished and will dull out. BUT if you polish it and then put a clear coat on top to stop it from faiding then I would say keep it polished. I would paint and maybe put some kind of Black rubber around the base so it looks more flush. Love that idea !:beerchug: BradG 04-30-2008, 12:28 PM if you paint it, it is very likely to scratch. I like the clean Aluminum look. If you have to color change it, try inteior matched vinyl first - you can take if off if it sucks. I like the idea of the black wrapped edge as well ...
