I just finished installing my gauges. I made the mount from 1/4" thick
alumiinum and polished it, now I am thinking about painting it the same color as the trim in my truck (dark gray) but not sure yet.

Looks great! My vote would be to NOT paint it, leave it polished.

I would pait it. The only reason I say that is if not it will not stay polished and will dull out. BUT if you polish it and then put a clear coat on top to stop it from faiding then I would say keep it polished.

Looks good.
I would paint and maybe put some kind of Black rubber around the base so it looks more flush.
Love that idea !:beerchug:

if you paint it, it is very likely to scratch. I like the clean Aluminum look.
If you have to color change it, try inteior matched vinyl first - you can take if off if it sucks.
I like the idea of the black wrapped edge as well ...

I added the black trim as was suggested, what do you think? I need to take the time to add my description for my posts, but as of yet not quite sure how to do it.
