Just curious as to what kind of mileage change different people had in there trucks once they lifted them.Im planning on doing a 6" with 315's and would like a ball park range plus or minus what you got.

Well your milage would be lower..by what?...some. If you are putting on 315's, thats alot more meat to move and the weight too.

I have a 7in lift with 315/75/16 on my rig.....love the look. Check it out by clicking on the link in my signature below.

You can plan on loosing about 5-7 miles per gallon on average.

4" rancho lift and 295's I am getting 16.1 mpg, hand calculated per gps. That is way better than my 2003 6.0L which tops out at 9 mpg

Thanks for the input, really hoped for more than 3 replies though. 5-6 seems like a hell of a lot , my friend doesnt lose that much towin his 5th wheel.

5 to 7 MPG lost!! Damn, that seems like an awful lot. I don't think I lost that much. I'll do some calculations and get back to you.

I've just got a 4" lift, I'm currently under 15mpg, but that's with winter blend fuel, a LOT of daily idleing, Predator 65hp (which besides reprogramming the computer, somehow also dissallows partially pressing the GO pedal).

I can't imagine I've been robbed 5-7mpg by the lift. I've been wrong before, but man, that's like 25-33% of the stock mileage... If it robs that much from a Diesel, it would rob a full 50% or more from a gasser!

I lost an average of about 3 MPG gallon when I went to a 6" lift and 315's. It hurt even worse towing my 5th wheel. I had to lift my 5th wheel 7 inches, the trailer and truck now act as a huge wind block 8-9 MPG.

I had 6000km on truck when i put my lift in and was getting anywhere from 18-21. Now that the lifts in and another 24000km on the odometer it still getting 17-19. If i drive it nice on the hwy and conditions r good (wind behind) Ive got 20 a couple of times. I dont really think those #s r too bad considering the size of the truck. MPG were all hand calculated. These #s are all from stock HP form. Cant say for sure what the Banks kit will do, cause I dont get to drive it much anymore. Be interesting to see though.

millie, did you find a set of 315's at a good price?

I installed my lift at about 18,000 miles. At that point I could expect about 18-19 mph at highway speeds. Since the installment of my lift I now can expect about 15 maybe 16 mpg at highway speeds. The numbers are hand calculated and are corrected for odometer changes with the lift. Now mind you that my lift and tires were installed in late November. This is near the same time as the transition to winter diesel which can also affect fuel mileage.

Not quite yet, still on the look out.The guy I really need to talk to is always gone wen I come around, plus working nights makes it hard to track em down.

I have a 6in lift on my 01. With winter blend fuel I get between 16 and 18mpg depending on conditions. In the summer, I push 18-20mpg. If it is really windy, I can expect 10-12mpg.

Thanks for the input fellas, but looks like the lift is on hold, stupid couch and bed and so on, lol. Probally just go with some 285's and crank up the front a little.

Eric - why do you need to adjust for lift when you have a Juice/Attitude? Mine has a function to adjust for non-stock tires. Doesn't that adjustment also adjust the output on the speedo and D.I.C.?

I have a 4" Rancho and 295's. Corrected mileage is religously 16-17.5 mpg. Have tracked mileage on every tank for the last year and a half. Have got over 18 a few times ...

Caldirt: When you adjust your attitude display to correct for tire size it does not change your speedometer or odometer. Those are still reading incorrectly. A predator programmer can actually change the trucks speedometer, I am unsure though if it actually changes the odometer. I hope someone will answer that question for me.
