my blower motor is now only working on med/high and high. i think i remember quantum posting about resistors in this circuit. the motor squeaks some now and seems to be my power drain problem. the gauge on the dash drop 2 volts when the motor is on and does not recover until i shut the blower off. i can get a new motor w/ wheel for $30 but where are these resistors? a new motor seems to be a good idea( w/the squeak and all) but will this completely fix it.

IT will fix the squeaks yes, but the blower does draw a considerable amount of juice, don't expect much difference in amp draw with a new motor. As to whether it will fix your no Lo/Med fan speed problem, that depends on whether its caused by the motor simply no longer able to turn on that low of voltage or if the switch is bad, I would guess that it would fix it though.

resistors? I talked about resistance. The blower motor stops turning at the lower speeds as it wears out.

Motor fixed my " low speed problem when high selected}

Did not fix lowest speed setting,

When in lowest setting I get an electrical smell

When I fixed mine I had replaced the relay first and nothing changed, so the blower was all that was left.
