Diggin Deeper 04-28-2008, 08:49 PM Does anyone know more about the Caterpillar pulling truck?? Here is a link to the website. There looks like there is a lot of money in the trailer, tow vehicle, body, and etc.

HeavyHD 04-28-2008, 10:26 PM Wow looks like a damn nascar team. I suppose theyll pull against the martins and haisleys??
Diggin Deeper 04-29-2008, 12:55 PM I did hear that it is going to get a Cummins engine...anyone else hear that?
White Duramax 04-29-2008, 01:04 PM It is NOT going to be a cummins from what Atley said. He says its going to be a woodruff diesel engine less than than 466 cubes or so.
roosky01 04-29-2008, 01:10 PM What a crock...Ford truck, Cummins engine, Kubota RTV1100, all with CAT plastered all over them. Seems like a total waste of a sponsor's dollars to me. I guess if they can get Ohio Cat to sponsor, more power to them...

You should be able to get ahold of him through woodruff diesel.

So if it was a Cat brand pickup (which they don't make) running a Cat engine (that isn't allowed by the rules) pulled buy a Cat skid steer (which would be cool) would it still be waste of money? You need to remember what they're doing with this. They're advertising the Caterpillar line of farm equipment at public events attended by mostly people in the farming community. And to attract current and future diesel tech's. What better place to do that than at events with diesel fanatics. Doesn't seem like a waste to me and believe me they could have wrote a check for the entire operation (both trucks, trailer, kubota, engine ect...) and that wouldn't be a fraction of what even a dealer like Ohio Cat would spend on advertising elsewhere.
Spurs_442 05-02-2008, 07:36 PM I have to agree what a better place to advertise for a buisness and try to attract new customers. I hope that it runs as good as the setup looks.
GMCLBZ 05-02-2008, 07:48 PM Looks like one hell of a nice setup. Josh showed it to me when they did my tranny kit. Way too much stew for my blue collar wallet!!!
zuzupower 05-03-2008, 12:20 PM well im glad someone can see these pictures.......someone post them up......i apparently cant get them to work......
wdebo 05-03-2008, 03:40 PM Cat is not doing it for new customers there doing it so atley only buy cat and not john deere. Its pretty neat setup you should see it in person.
zuzupower 05-04-2008, 11:48 AM well being as that im 8000 miles away in iraq its hard to just stop over at Woodruff's and sneak a peek........
