At cold start up my truck pegs 120 psi on my oil pressure gauge. What could this be from? Could it be that my sending unit is bad or could it be from the faulty dash that GM has been talking about? How can I find out exactly what it is putting out at cold start?

id bet money its a faulty cluster..
my truck did the same thing when i first got it. when i took it to the dealership i mentioned it and they replaced the cluster and its fine now.
only way to really find out the correct PSI is hook up a manual pressure gauge to the motor

Did yours go back down after it was warmed up? Mine goes down to 60 after it reaches 180 degrees.

yeah it did go down after it warmed up but do remember that the pressure is not correct. idle pressure is around 15-20 psi. 65mph should get you a pressure around 60psi
