I'm installing a lift pump(walbro 362) and a(Kinsler) jet can bypass pressure valve, the setup is to serve a triple purpose 1. to keep a constant fuel flow to the injector pump through an inline fuel filter, 2. to pump fuel from my aux tank. 3. to keep fuel circulating to help keep it cool and consistently filtered. My problem is, when I order the jet can valve I need to know what pressure to have it set to so as not to over pressurize anything ahead of it.
Also I'm looking for a reliable electric valve that I can switch from aux tank to the oem, for the feed and return lines. ASCO comes to mind which is well known for industrial uses, but any input from tried and trued projects would be welcomed.
Thanks for any help.

Keep it under 14psi or so.

Per Industrial Induction "10psi max on the CP3 and 8psi min. anything more than 10psi will blow the pump."

not the pump but it will hurt the FICM tho
you can force feed the CP3 @ 100psi and wont hurt it...
FICM doesnt like anything above 13 psi

Well put. Now if it is an LBZ, you can crank up the pressure to 15 to 20 and then raise the current to the regulator. It will lope a little bit if you don't. But it is always good to have fuel pressure, just not too much.

First let me say Thanks for serving. What is FICM? I don't recall anything like that in my conversation. The company was "Industrial Injectors @ 801-972-0476" not Industrial Induction. I found out that they rebuilt the CP3s, so I called them up to ask what their calibration pressure was, I was told 10 psi max. I'm not starting a piss'n match, I just can't afford 2-3 grand if I "F" it up.

I force fed a LLY cp3 well over 100psi while doing some crazy testing. I blew up my fuel pressure gauge and blew off 200psi push loc fittings:eek: Never did know what the pressure was. The needle on the pressure gauge looked like a helicoper rotor before the bezel blew off and the needle broke off.
I had bypassed the filter and FICM when doing this. I didn't see any gains or problems. I think any positive pressure during WOT will keep things happy.
That being said, I'm running 15 psi on my LBZ

FICM fuel injector control modual.. it is imediately up stream of the fuel filter and controls your injectors
