Does anyone make a deep trans pan for the 4L80 trans. Maybe even an aluminum one w/ fins for cooling? If so... who, and how much? And... does anyone have one?

www.yourcovers.com (http://www.yourcovers.com/) is what I run on mine I don't need pretty so I went with as cast, they have a dressy one also, another is MAGTEK Sp??? a litttle more upscale & more $$$ both work, some say MT works better, PML meets my needs.

Then after that go with a Deraille trans cooler under the bed with thermostat controlled fan and you should never have tranny heat problems

$169 on e-bay with new filter, gasket and magnetic drain plug.

I've had the PML pan for a few months. Close to a gallon extra tranny fliud can't hurt.

Yeah, I bought this truck from a relative, he's had it since new. The tranny that's in it now is the 3rd! I think the first one was around 20k. I just don't want to have to go through that.

someone must not have been showing it any Love, my tranny builder said 4L80 is pretty robust if you keep filter & fluids changed on it, deep pan, HD clutches, & more cooling doesn't hurt either
