I've searched but can't find my answer. I bought a PPE Hot. The 2001-2008 model. They will upgrade it to race for free. If I do that does it give me the option to run DPF or not run it? Or does the upgrade REQUIRE you to remove the DPF? Thanks.

Ask this question and requires DPF off to use Race version programmer update. No way to get the Race version with an option to run with DPF according to Dan at PPE.

Whenever i had mine upgraded to the HOT RACE their was no selection to turn the DPF off it just did it automatically(somehow i got the 6th level when i only paid for the 5th:D). If you still have your DPF on then i wouldnt recommend tuning the RACE version because it will disable the DPF and probably clog it. This happened to my dads truck when i installed the Race version and his truck still had the DPF. His SEL came on after uninstalling the programmer and turned off after it was clean.
