Looking for some direction on tuning. New to the forum and to the whole tuning world but would like to learn and understand. Wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of some good material to read on tuning, ECM's, how they operate, what they do, and how they do it. I am an aircraft mechanic and understand that it takes many years of experiance and reading to understand complex systems so I am not expecting one book or place to do this. Check out the Tips bulletin at the top of the EFI forum. Thats a good place to start there is a bunch of reading on different topics in there. Vortecfcar also has some videos posted in there that are informative.

After reading that you should be able to ask some questions you need an answer to.

There was some good information here http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=240297 although it's more directed about how to tune rather than how an ECM works.
