yea i just checking my truck for codes and there were these two codes that were there P0811 and P0812 i looked them up and they are fuel temp sesor performance and low voltage. what does this mean? does this mean it need to be replaced or what.

Did you have the engine heater plugged in when it wasnt at least around 20 deg or colder?

Did a quick check, there is no p0811/p0812. There are a couple codes relating to the fuel sensor, so if you can get them again, I can check on some stuff.
However, its pretty common to get a fuel temp code if you have been plugging the truck in when its not cold enough to warrant it being plugged in.

i found what the code was here. i live around chicago and the last couple of days it has been well below frezeing at night. i have it on a timer and last night it triped the ground falt. it has triped before from the snow and i never though any thing of it.

So was it the P0181 and P0182?

The only thing that I come up with is a bulletin that states the use of the block heater at anything over 0* F can set the code P0181 if there is no other issues.
The P0182 just turns up the diag chart, so you might want to take it in and have it checked out and if its tripping the house breaker, might not want to plug that in anymore.

i have one of those predators and i was playing around with it and looking at some of the real time data. it said the fuel temp in there and it read 82 degrees. do you know what the normal temp should be. i don't really want to take the truck in to the sealership because it is to much of a hassle and i will buy what i need i don't care.

Fuel temp should read some where around whatever ambient is. Basically what sets the p0181 code is when the fuel temp and the air intake temp are more than 18* apart in temp. Now if you have been driving for a while, the fuel will warm up some eventually from being returned.

so it doesn't mean that some thing is broken. it says that it is just out of spec. and there might be something but there might not be any thing

i assume the intake air temp is mesured from the Mass air sensor.

Well, basically what can happen if its not cold enough, the heat generated from the block heater will raise the air temp in the engine compartment, so thats when you end up with that18* difference in the fuel temp and air temp. However, with that second code set, its a hard call.
