hello to all,
saw a few of the post out there about the trans filter, and to make sure its the right one. went to a few places that said they had it on the phone but when i got there it was a cross reference number and i didnt want that. finally found a place in lodi NJ who sell them all day long for $8.14, original (red) allison filters. the gmc dealer wanted $55.00, can you believe that?
also the dealer wanted $25.00 for a quart of trans fluid. paid $37.00 for a gallon at this place,(didnt need a gallon, but they didnt sell it in quarts). name of the place is atlantic detroit diesel, on rt 17 in lodi nj.if some of you are having a hard time finding these filters, here is where you can get them. filter number is 29539579.
