Can someone explain turbo bark to me? I don't think I really understand what it is or if I am experiencing it.

turbo bark or surge happens when more pressure accumulates in the intake manifold than your turbo can handle and it forces its way back out through the compressor. it typically only happens on gassers with a throttle or in high high boost situations, and it can be damaging. it will sound like a real quick descending "whop whop whop whop" when you let off the pedal or like random "whops" at full throttle.
