Ok were to start well back in november/december had head gasket replaced then 1 1/2 weeks later the trubo bearing went. the day after i got it back i took a trip up north in to wis. pulling a 2 place alum. snowmobile trealer and got a valve ticking. the dealer ajusted the valves now 2000 miles later the valve started ticking again. so now they told me that there is some wear on the push rods and rockers and part s are ordered and by the way I only have about 64,000 miles in it.

WHY

what would cause this. I run rotella 15/40 and change the oil when I need to. I think that when the dealer did the head gaskets they did a oil change and put in non diesel wight oil and thats why the turbo went out. to light of a oil and now some push rods whats next my main bearings

if the dealer did the oil change then they should be able to look up in their history what oil was put in, and if not it should say on the recipt. other then that i dont think u need to worry bout main bearings but i guess it could be possible

Dmax uses solid lifters...oil should have no effect on them.
Are you running an EFI tune @ 5,000 rpm or anything like that? Floating the valves from high rpm could bend the pusrods.

no EFI live. I just talked to the guy working on my truck today and hesaid the same thing about the lifters. the pushrod had some wear on the top of the rod and in the cup of the rocker. it may be from when the ticking noise was going on and the dealer told me to come back in 2 weeks and it would be ok. which I had a feeling about and it would not be ok.

he also just got back from a class in chicago that gm had and the teacher could not belive what was going on with the push rods.
