we just listed a few of the new dual tip filter back kits that they offer. i know alot of people are doing particulate delete but for the guy that doesn't want to have to worry about warranty this is great.

I was lookin into puting this exhaust on my LMM but my local dealer told me that the exhaust would void my warrranty:mad: He said that the tip was designed to draw cold air into the pipe and changing to the aftermarket exhaust it would not be able to do this. So, I guess I will be waiting 90,000 more miles before i will look into this again:lol:

Look at that picture close and you'll see that those "inter-cooled" tips are designed to do the same thing. All the systems I've seen for DPF trucks are designed that way. See what your dealer says about that...

I believe the design was intended to keep the tip cool is all. Your dealer why theoretically is correct he is wrong as you cannot draw cold into something with heat as the pressure and heat from the exhaust would not permit it to pull back into the pipe.

The tip on the lmm is a safety measure. Magnaflow has followed this saftey measure and gm cannot say anything about this exhaust !

Enjoy your trucks guys !

If your dealer told you that u got a ***** for a dealer, wont even let u do DPF back man I feel bad for u. I just put turbo back on mine only for a day so far so good. Before I did I went and talked to my dealer to see what they said. He told me the only thing he wouldnt warranty was the exhaust. But that was fine with me because it will be off anyway.

Some dealers need a 'little education' on this. I don't think they're aware of what some of the aftermarket vendors are doing in their designs to address cooling the tip..........

i agree it's a shame that they are so much in the dark about the aftermarket world. i have a good friend of mine who is the service manager at a dealer around here, that said if i ever have a problem w/ anything just bring it in. he's got a worked Trailblazer SS.

The dealer's just being safe. It's actually in the Duramax booklet that came with your truck. However I think it says, if you replace the exhaust, your warranty "may be" voided.

I envy the folks with dealers that don't mind this stuff... of course let's hope you never travel to Colorado and have to visit my dealer.

Do any companies make one that is one large pipe and not a duel pipe look. the duel pipe reminds me of a ford.
