I've been thinking, and would it be ok on the STOCK trans to dyno the truck with any programmers/power adders set on kill?

It would be sweet to be able to lay down some nice dyno numbers with the programmer(s?) cranked up, and then back down again for the street to be nice to the stock allison while saving for an upgrade.

Your thoughts?

A proper dyno test will load the vehicle enough to slip the stock transmission with any serious power just like on the street.

You can pull slightly more on a dyno jet, but you WILL limp it with big power adders.

Just noticed your location.......I'm in spr but cruise up to Peoria pretty much every weekend.

The dyno in peoria isnt a load cell(dynojet-:t ), you could get away with a 125 juice or the like in 4th gear IMO. What do you have for tuners ect.?

Edit: Even though its a dynojet I still wana go back and play there sometime. 106(when they were still 106) had a event there and 3 pulls were like 40$ or something. Everybody about **** with my 340ish on my reg juice:rolleyes: You back into the stall and they dont have **** for ventalation, I dont think they are used to big HP diesels;) ):h If you go there I may have to make an appearance and try to smoke em out:D

By "spr" I assume you mean Springfield?

I don't actually have my truck yet. (I've got a 2005 D/A LT CC/SB on order right now) and when I do buy a programmer, it's gonna be a Predator, unless Edge gets their shat together, or something better comes out.

I've heard rumors that there's a dyno around here, but I'm not sure where. I think it's in BN.

That'd be awesome if you'd come out too when I finally do make a dyno appearance. The more the smokier...:muahaha:

I live right up there acutally. Right on Hickory Grove Rd, just off Knoxville.

I will not do a bit of business with Green. I was treated poorly by the service dept once, so F them. I just had some bodywork done on my Yukon at Jim McComb, and I was VERY pleased with both the work and customer service.

I ended up ordering the truck from Broadway Chevy in Green Bay. My brother is a GM tech there, and I am good friends with the shop foreman. Plus, my dad has bought 7 vehicles from them, and has been happy.

If you ever see this Yukon bombing around Peoria, it'd be me driving it....until I sell it that is, which I hope is soon!

I'll more than likely be going up to WI to huckstorphs diesel day. It will be a good time, I'm sure lotsa trucks will be there that would be willing to let you take a ride in and get a feel for some different set ups. Its only 4 or so hours from peoria IIRC and that going 70. Duno how far from kankakee? Dont even remember how long of a drive kankakee is from peoriaville?
