I don't know if this it the correct place or not but here goes.

A friend of mine has got a (or should i say HAD) an 05 lly duramax. He had an recently new PPE standard xceletrator (covers 01-08 models) He is thinking of selling his truck.

He has given me the chance to buy the PPE tuner. Can I reset the tuner, then use it on my 06 LBZ truck? Or If i use the tuner without "resetting" will it mess my truck up? (I can't take it to dealer to "reflash ecm" as I am in UK)

I have tried to search for it online and can't find anything.

If your friend didn't "return to stock" before he sold the truck then PPE tuner won't work on your truck as it is...Your friend would need to choose the "return to stock" option on the tuner and download it into his truck...Once he has done this the tuner can be used on your truck

It is a must that your friend takes the PPE program out of his truck, returning it to the stock program before you can tune yours with it.
