I was considering installing a K/N filter and intake system on my 03 D-MAX. I went to my local GM dealer to check on any warrenty issues, they told me that they have had to replace the air intake sensors on two different trucks with K/N filters, at around $600 bucks a pop, they say this is due to the oil on the filters contaminating the sensor, which is apperently close to the filter.
Has anyone had any similar problems ?

get a cup of coffee and have a few hours to spare and read, read, read! Or you could just go to the end and change your mind about a K&N

The best filter out there is the one that came from the factory.
