So I have a banks bighead wastegate on my truck and loved it. I definetly felt a difference in the acceleration, especially in 5th gear. I always watch the boost pressure gauge and I used to see it get up there and feel it in every gear.

I've since lifted the truck and put on 35's... and I lost the "lovin feelin". I've yet to see the boost gauge get over about 18 and its pissin me off cause the MPG's CensoredCensored!!!

Would cranking it a few turns do the trick, or what?

Generally the wastegate is actuated via the internal springs and the vac lines measuring manifold pressure.

From a gasser standpoint, you either need a boost controller or a stiffer spring to alter the WG opening pressure.

Adjusting the linkage on the wastegate will raise the boost level. If my memory serves me corectly If your at 18 psi shorten the linkage about 2 turns and you should be around 23-25 psi. What kind of tuner/ programer do you have? If you have stock programing more boost wont help.

I have the ProComp (Hypertech) Power Pro set at +110 and I'm not seeing the boost go over 16-18 psi since I put the 35's on. with the 33's I'd see it hit 28 psi in 4th pretty regularly.

the tires arnt the reason your seeing low boost. I can set my truck back to stock and still see peaks of 25 psi with 37's. Im not really sure what the problem is, but i would start looking in another direction other than the larger tires.

Ya the tires aren't the problem, I would start looking for a leak somewhere

Good to know, I'll look it up and down tonight. Thanks.

Turns out the Banks wastegate died. Should get the replacement today. Got a Kennedy valve also so i can adjust it more easily.
