Ok If you "crack on it" on the slab do you put the trans in manual and use the shift button or do you let it down shift it self????
Crack on from 60 to 70 range.

It must be a southern thing:rolleyes:

Anyway if you and let's say a new powerchoke are next to each other on the interstate, and both of you want to see who's truck is faster from 60mph to around a 100mph or so. Do you put your transmission in manual and down shift it, or do you let the transmission shift it-self.

Thanks to all who respond:D

Hmm, Ky is considered southern, and i knew what you were talking about, but I would of said "hammer on it":D

Better off to go ahead and downgear IMO if you know what gear you need to go to.

use tow haul when racing from a roll, it will hold a lower gear for you and keep the rpms up.
