I have a truck here... 05 LLY... Intermittent stall and then it will restart easily. I cannot get it to stall for me and there are no codes... no odd noises... no loose wiring... i have nothing to go off of except: they have an edge with attitude. If my reading is correct then this is a common problem with the edge?

How do i go about making sure the edge is up to date and is this actually a good chance to be the cause?

I will be giving the truck back to the customer tomorrow if i cannot duplicate the problem... I plan on telling them to run the truck without the edge connected and see what we get....

Opinions?

yes very common with the edge. never happened to me but i read it constantly when i was reading more on it back then. tell him to disconnect it for some time and see if the issue goes away. i know you want a better answer for the customer, but sometimes aftermarket stuff has to be eliminated as the cause before you can diag it correctly. send him off.

i talked with the installer of the edge unit and asked what his recomendations were.... he told me to just unplug it and have the customer drive it. He has never heard of a complaint like that with the edge. He says it is possible but never heard of it.....
