The rear housing and output shaft must be swapped
Also the 05 MY uses a "G" solonoid to aid in cooling that the 03 does not use. Valve body is different as well as internal wiring harness in trans. They will work with or with out the solonoid, but I would try and avoid not having it there if possible

Eric's right, you need to swap the valve body, internal wire harness, output shaft assemble. Other than that no problem.

i think the 2wd uses a 32 spline out put shaft and the 4wd uses a 29 spline shaft

2wd uses a flange to accept the drive shaft that gets held in place with a bolt over the splines. 4wd uses a slip shaft into the t-case input. spline count is the least of your problems. Plus the rear housing is different to accept the t-case.

If you are swapping shafts you better make sure endplay is correct or you will lose a geartrain.
