Was doing some work the other day and needed a 1/2 drive ratchet as mine was pretty much toast. I had to go to O'Rielly auto parts to pick up some other stuff and they had a 110 piece socket set on sale. The make is KD and it is made in the U.S.A. and it seemed pretty good so I bought it. I know it is not Snap-On but was wondering if anyone else uses them and if so are they any good? Thanks for your reply.

I had to buy a 30 mm socket from the local parts store and that is what brand it is. They told me it has a lifetime warranty on it. If ANYTHING happens to it, bring it back and it will be replaced. It was something like $15. Looks nice to.

I don't know about the ratchet but the other KD tools I've bought over the years are all good. Usually I've only bought their specialty automotive stuff though and only a couple of wrenches.

KD is owned/made by the same outfit that owns, Matco, craftsman, gear wrench, Allen, armstrong, Fluke among a few others.
Danaher is the parent Corporation and makes some really nice stuff an some really crappy stuff, most of it comes from or is partially made in China or tiwain
KD are good tools at least there older stuff was. This is way I am switching over to SK an snap on tools, still made here.

KD have decent tools, like said above, they are well know for there specialty tools. Snap On is a joke anymore, they have good tools, but they screw all their new dealers. We have had 4 dealers in 3 years and the latest one doesn't even come to our shop.
