I'm on the verge of getting a Predator. I can see why I'd want a pyro gage but what's a boost gage good for? How's it going to help knowing what the boost does?

Thanks

Because it looks sweet. Ever driven a big truck, a Peterbuilt or Frieghtliner or something? Watching the boost gauge swing up and down kicks ass.
Also then you know what boost you are running doing certain things and know more about what the motor is doing if you have problems.

Boost guage would also tell you if your turbo is working. Think of it this way, a turbo is like having a blower on the engine only the turbo uses your exhaust to force air back into the intake. The more exhaust the faster the turbo spins which equals more boost. Hope this helps......boost guage is a good thing!!!!......Rick p.s. turbo takes a lot less horse power to turn than a blower.

There are several things that kill turbo engines:

Overboost
EGT's
Water temp
Oil pressure

If for one reason or another, you go outside the acceptable limits of these items, you can blow stuff up in a hurry.

In the case of overboost, your engine computer will normally stop that from happening unless you play with vise grips. ;)
