What should I run? Truck is an '06 LLY CC SB on 35"s. Used as a DD, tow rig, and winch anchor. Won't get raced or anything like that. I've been looking at the Evolutions, but I remember the teething issues they had when introduced. I'm going to add an exhaust system later this year to help things out, but I'm going with a programmer or chip first. So with $500 to spend, what would you do?

i like the predator because of the price is so quite a bit lower then the others and is a very good programmer but many others will have different opinions

Yup, but factor in gauges and whatnot and you're back on up there in price. That's the convenient thing about the Evo...EGT gauge is built in.

Why not grab a PPE Xcelerator?

resisting the extra power that comes with a ppe would be way to hard. you will just keep thinking well if i only turn it up once and see what its like then it just leads into wanting more and more

I think every tuner is like that though.

x2 they all are. the best remedy for a heavy foot is to have one duramax, eat the tranny up, then buy another duramax and say "i aint doing that again"

Meh...I'm NOT going to drop 5k on a tranny, and I have other stuff that is quick. Mostly want more power for towing, and the occasional romp with a ricer.

i really like the Quad, but for what you are wanting to spend, the Edge is probably the way to go. that way you already have gauges and dont have to spend another $2-$350 on them.

not sure about the LLY, but dirtymax70 has the Edge Hot on his LBZ and it is nasty. it was nasty on my LB7 too!

Superchips Cortex is also a possibility. i dont know anything about em, but they come with a 2yr powertrain warranty.....damn hard to beat that!

Stuff can't be linked on the forum. Just PM StewieTuned like I mentioned. He's an authorized vendor here as well as an authorized PPE dealer. You won't be disappointed.

I really like my Predator. No issues with it and the power is decent. I liked the look of the round A-pillar gauges but I guess it all depends on what style gauges you want.
