Neat.
Unfortunately I would question that the engine would even fit into our chassis. That girdle is adding a few inches of depth to the oil pan rail. I would think that a custom oil pan would be in order at the very least. I am pretty sure a conventional Humvee oil pan can not fit into a C chassis and probably a very tight fit into a K chassis if it is possible.

Yeah. A guy on ********** put one in his K series truck. The custom oil pan cost him $600. But it worked.

I would love to see inside the bottom end of that beast. I wonder if the girdle replaces the main caps as a unit (yes it has been done on many engines before) or if it is truly a girdle and fastens the main caps together somehow.

by looking at how shiny that thing is, I guess swapping in my DB2 is out of the question:D

I'm still waiting for someone to post specs on the injection system... They said it was different.... How different is what I want to know.... What do we have to ditch to swap? Will our PCM work still? And is it still an IHI turbo?
A new 6.5 is great, but without that injection system we can't dip into that STOCK 250hp & 550tq.
Great find on the pics BTW.

Yes. The girdle is one piece with all the main caps cast into it. It is a sweet looking engine with the pan off.
