I am getting ready for a test & tune trip to the track. I was looking for some opinions on what launch techniques are working. I'm 2wd with slicks (and drag radials for True Street races). My convertor should stall 400-500 above stock. I've practiced a few times on dry pavement and street tires. I begin to push through the brakes as I near 1800rpm. The truck is currently at stock ride height and at least 70 psi in the front tires. I will start the slicks out at 15lbs. I have not done any adjusting with the Cal-Tracs. Your thoughts?

I got 4 turns in my cal tracs after they touched the springs. I can get 10 psi (2100 rpms for me) before it starts to creep trough the brakes. As far as your t-bars go i'm no expert but I say drop them should provide better weight transfer on the launch. Leave the front tires at pressure no reason I know of to lower them.

I'm interested in the 2wd lauchs also don't have slicks yet think about running the rear a little lower for weight transfer myself

I was also thinking of leveling the truck - it could help.
