: Leaky copper washers behind TC????

I have the leaky bolts with the copper washers, do I just replace the washer to solve problem or what???? thanks in advance.

From what I understand a dab of sealant on both sides of the washer is the cure.

If you already have the copper washers and still leaking after proper torque, I'd say that the leak is from someplace else

just fixed my leak out of the front--it was not the bolts, it was not the tc, it was a flat and dry o ring around the front pump flange. replaced the o ring, reinstalled the tc and (boy did i get lucky!!) no leaks----and the trans still shifts perfectly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!):h ):h ):h

Just remember all your other rubber is as bad as your pump oring. They all go bad together.

good point mike but with 146k i didn't want to pump alot on $$$$ until i can decide if it's a keeper or a gonner. i suspect you're absolutely correct and it is getting close to needing the whole rebuild process, but for now, it shifts perfectly and doesn't drip a drop! curious to see just how long it goes.
