I'm contemplating putting in a Pioneer Avic D3 or Z2 in my 2500HD but I cant find out if anyone make an adaptor for my Zune (I see they make Ipod adaptor so you can get all the features used on Ipod ) Any how straight forward is replacing the stock radio? My rig is an LT so I don't have the Bose Lux system (should I get the Lux amp before putting in the Pioneer head unit or is it a waste of $) Or is it worth it to have a audio place do the install. (PS Pioneer is offering a $200 rebate on the D3 until the end of the month)

Stick with either the D3 or the 4000DVD that's just out from Pioneer. It's just like a D3 minus the nav and I've seen some retailers sell it for around $349.
There's no aftermarket support for Zune's that I know of. If you get the D3, there's an RCA input on the back, and you can use an RCA to headphone adaptor to play the Zune through the D3.
The install is easy, just do a search as there are hundreds of threads about it.
The lux upgrade is a waste of money IMO. If you're replacing the head unit, and don't have Bose, all you need is this (http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/products.aspx?ProductID=163).
Here's the list of parts for installing an aftermarket head unit. You'll need a dash kit, antenna adaptor, and wiring harness. http://www.bestkits.com/SearchResults.aspx?mk=Chevrolet&mkid=4&md=Silverado&mdid=1264&yrg=2007%20-%202008

Does anyone make a steering wheel control kit for the 4000dvd head unit? Anyway you could pm me a link to the retailers that you have seen selling at that price?

It's the same steering wheel interface that works with any Pioneer head unit.

I use the aux in for my zune on my AVIC-Z2. I also use the PAC SWI-PS to interface the steering wheel controls. I wish pioneer would release a Zune adapter, but at this time they don't have one. I understand that the usb adapter won't work from what i have read.
