I just bought a boat and I hooked it up and relized that it had electric over hydrlic brakes. And so the ITBC doesn't work. If I hook the wire under the master cyclinder up to stud 1# will this fix my problems or is there another work around other than an aftermarket brake controller. Thanks for all of your help in advance

Won't work with your setup (electric over hydraulic)............there's loads of threadson this..........will probably have to go with aftermarket setup.

There is a POSSIBILITY that this might fix your problem. I haven't done enough testing yet but it may work.

Hooking that wire up that's under your master cylinder will not help your brake control situation.

The other fix you might try is to wire an electric brake magnet into circuit. Once the controller senses the magnet, it operates as intended. I haven't tried this myself but the recommendation came from a fifth wheel owner who has Dexter electric over hydraulic brakes. The "fix" came directly from Dexter engineering.
