Any one build a transmission stand at home , I saw one in rebuild thread and thought it would be easy to build . Any pic's (take off's) how tall would you build it ????

I just used an engine stand, and then made an adapter to mount to the P.T.O. cover bolt holes. There is a pic in my garage.

That is what I am making to build my trans with next week.

It looks like you only used 4 bolts to hold the trans is that correct.

Thanks guys for the input (P.T.O. bolts ) thats what I saw in a few threads just seamed it whould be to heavy for them bolts holes. I will make that bracket for a eng. stand ...

That is correct. I wanted to use all six, but I didn't have enough steel in my scrap pile to make a bigger mounting flange. Four bolts did the job well- I have had a complete Alli with the converter installed on the stand for about 8 months now. Its not on the floor yet. Hahaha

anybody want to make me a bracket like that, ill pay for materials and shipping pm me a reasonable price.
