I have searched for info on these little radio buttons with no results. How do you replace them and can you buy the individual buttons? I have used the volume and search button so much that the edges wore white. Minor distraction that I would like to fix. Thanks for any input.

<LI type=1>Position a blunt ended tool into the wire harness cavity (1) and apply moderate pressure in order to partially remove the steering wheel control switch from the steering wheel.

<LI type=1>Disconnect the steering wheel control switch electrical connector. Important: The bulbs in the steering wheel control switches are not serviceable. The switches should be replaced only as an assembly.

<LI type=1>Install the horn switch (2) to the steering wheel (3). Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

<LI type=1>Connect the captured screws (1,4) from the horn contact plate (2) to the steering wheel (3) .
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 5.5 N·m (50 lb in).

Ensure that the SIR wires do not get pinched during installation of the inflator module.

Connect the battery negative cable.

Is it possible to remove your existing steering wheel (with no controls) and replace with one with controls The dealer says no???

Never looked into it. Might have some different modules and such.
