What all must be done to upgrade to the electric fan? (truck in sig) Can you buy a self contained fan or do you have to buy temp sensors etc?

And for those who have done it... was it worth it?

I Have FAL282's, the biggest thing I noticed was the A/C cools great at Idle, Clutch fan won't do that. as for performace gains, I'm sure there is some but you can't tell from the seat of the pants dyno. Now, If you getting "flexalites" and want to use the VSC (variable speed controller) Be absolutly Positivly sure the one you get has wires coming out of it. if it doesn't...SEND IT BACK...It will fail (I had 3) the VSC works great, but the old style will fail. (my truck got hot enough the air coming out the defroster cracked my windshield) now I just use 2 simple probe and relay setups from summit $20 each, the chance of both failing at the same time is pretty low, whereas the vsc controlls both fans and when it goes you got nuthin. need more specific info let me know...
